OVERVIEW - "BEFORE" STATE
Transaction Search was a redesign of an existing internal trading tool (below) used to monitor trades, investigate failures, and locate transactions based on partial or specific information. The challenge was not to invent a new feature from scratch, but to make an already critical workflow more usable, faster, and easier to understand for teams working under time pressure.

THE PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED
• heavy reliance on manual filtering
• inconsistent hierarchy and layout
• difficult scanability in dense tables
• unclear transaction status visibility
The redesign introduced improving clarity without increasing interface complexity as of two dedicated search paths:
• direct lookup: Search by Transaction ID
• broader exploration using: Search by Multiple Criteria

THE OUTCOME
The dashboard was transformed into a more actionable transaction management workspace. New features such as Trade Tracker and Favorites improved visibility, reduced friction, and helped users focus on the transactions that mattered most.

THE INSIGHT & SOLUTION
The redesign introduced improving clarity without increasing interface complexity as of two dedicated search paths:
